Kancionál is an electronic hymnal for the Czech and Moravian dioceses, bringing the complete prayer and song collection to your Android device. Whether you're at home, traveling, or in a place where carrying the printed book isn't practical, this app gives you instant access to every hymn and prayer from the official diocesan edition, including both the Olomouc and Hradec Králové supplements.

Find any prayer or song in seconds using full-text search. The app displays hymns from the Olomouc supplement in blue and Hradec Králové entries in green, so you always know which edition you're reading. Adjust the text size to suit your eyesight, switch between serif and sans-serif fonts, and toggle night mode on for comfortable reading in low light. You can also lock the screen to stay on a specific hymn without the display turning off automatically.

Personalize your experience by saving favorite songs and prayers to bookmarks. Sound will automatically mute when you need silence, and the app respects the dignity of worship—use it only in environments where it's appropriate, and never let it distract during Mass.

Every text and musical transcription has been carefully checked against the latest printed editions to ensure accuracy. Some content comes from Kancional.cz (used with permission), while the rest was transcribed and verified by the developer. The electronic version is authorized by the Czech Bishops' Conference and maintained through Liturgie.cz.

This app is not meant to replace the printed Hymnal—which remains available through Catholic bookstores—but rather to serve as a convenient digital companion when the paper edition isn't at hand. The project continues to develop, and the team welcomes your feedback to improve the app over time.
